DDi trains first aiders onsite at their workplace across the East Rand, in Benoni, Boksburg, Kempton Park, Germiston and the towns around them. Our First Aid Level 1, 2 and 3 courses are accredited by the Department of Employment and Labour and aligned to the QCTO curriculum. First Aid Level 1 onsite costs from R730 per person for groups of 20 or more (R950 for 4 to 9), excl. VAT, plus travel. For one or two people, a seat in the Level 1 public class at our Centurion venue is R1,050.
Where on the East Rand We Train
We come to your workplace anywhere on the East Rand, including:
- Benoni and Boksburg
- Kempton Park
- Germiston, Edenvale and Alberton
We have no venue on the East Rand. Your team trains on your own premises, where the first aiders will one day have to act, and nobody has to travel to a class. Request a quote with your address, how many people need training and a preferred date.
First aid training in Benoni
Benoni has factories, workshops and warehouses in and around Apex, and smaller businesses right across the town. We train your first aiders on your own premises, so they practise CPR and the AED where they may one day need them, and nobody loses a day on the road. First Aid Level 1 costs the same in Benoni as everywhere we train: from R730 per person for groups of 20 or more, excl. VAT, plus travel by distance. For one or two people, the nearest public class is at our Centurion venue.
First aid training in Kempton Park
Kempton Park runs on logistics: the warehouses and freight businesses around OR Tambo, and the industrial parks of Spartan and Isando. Many of these sites work shifts, and a first aider must be readily available during normal working hours, so each shift needs its own cover. Tell us your shift pattern when you ask for a quote and we plan the training around it, at your premises. Level 1 runs over 1 day with self-study, or 2 days with theory in class. Request a quote with your Kempton Park address and the number of people.
First aid training in Boksburg
Boksburg has warehousing, transport and manufacturing around Jet Park and the N12, alongside offices and shops. Which level you need depends on your risks: First Aid Level 1 suits most workplaces, and First Aid Level 2 suits higher-risk sites or specific risks your risk assessment identifies. Both run onsite at your premises, and every level covers CPR and the AED on adult, child and infant manikins. Certificates are signed onsite at the end of the training for every delegate found competent, when we have their ID copy beforehand. Travel to Boksburg is quoted with your training.
First aid training in Germiston
Germiston is one of the East Rand’s oldest industrial towns, with Wadeville, Harmelia and the rail yards among its working areas. Definitive Conferencing in Harmelia is a long-standing DDi client: our team has given them training and annual Health and Safety Audits for years, and they have said so in their own words. Your team trains at your own premises in Germiston, with our manikins and AED trainers, and the course price is the same as everywhere we train. For one or two people, there is a public class at our Centurion venue.
Which First Aid Level?
- First Aid Level 1 (Basic Emergency First Aid Responder): 1 day with self-study, or 2 days with theory in class. Ideal for workplaces and individuals.
- First Aid Level 2 (Intermediate Emergency First Aid Responder): 2 or 3 days onsite, for higher-risk workplaces or specific risks your risk assessment identifies.
- First Aid Level 3 (Advanced Emergency First Aid Responder): 4 or 5 days onsite, or a public class in Centurion over two weekends.
On every level your team practises CPR and the AED on adult, child and infant manikins.
How Many First Aiders Do You Need?
The General Safety Regulations (regulation 3(4)) ask for a trained first aider once a workplace has more than 10 employees: one for every group of up to 50, or up to 100 in shops and offices. DDi recommends at least 2 per site, so cover continues when one is on leave or off shift. The calculator on the First Aid Level 1 page works it out for your headcount.
Your Certificate
This course is accredited by the Department of Labour and aligned to the QCTO curriculum and on successful completion each delegate receives a Certificate of Compliance which is valid for 3 years. Certificates are signed onsite at the end of the training for every delegate found competent, when we have their ID copy beforehand.
Travel to the East Rand
Onsite training carries a travel charge on top of the course: R550 flat up to 100 km round trip, then R5.50 per km, excl. VAT, the same rule as everywhere we train, and your quote shows the travel for your address. If only one or two people need First Aid Level 1, they can come to our Centurion venue at 99 Hornbill Avenue, Rooihuiskraal, not far off the N1, for the 1-day public class, 8:30am to 4:30pm, and book a seat on the public class bookings page.
