DDi trains first aiders onsite at their workplace in Roodepoort, Krugersdorp, Randburg and the rest of the West Rand. First Aid Level 1, 2 and 3 are accredited by the Department of Employment and Labour and aligned to the QCTO curriculum, and the certificate is valid for 3 years. A team of 4 to 9 pays R950 per person for Level 1 onsite, less for bigger groups, excl. VAT, plus travel. One or two people can also join the public class at our Centurion venue for R1,050 each.
The Towns We Cover
- Roodepoort and the suburbs around it
- Krugersdorp and the wider West Rand
- Randburg, in Johannesburg’s northern suburbs
We have no venue on the West Rand or in Randburg, so we bring the training, the manikins and the AED trainers to your premises. For Sandton, Midrand and the rest of the city, see First Aid Training in Johannesburg.
First aid training in Roodepoort
Roodepoort mixes the office parks of Constantia Kloof with light industry, shops and schools, and the law treats them differently. Shops and offices need at least one first aider for every group of up to 100 employees, and other workplaces one for every group of up to 50, once you have more than 10 employees. DDi recommends at least 2 per site, so cover continues when one is on leave. We train at your premises in Roodepoort, with the manikins and AED trainers brought to you. The calculator on the First Aid Level 1 page works out your number.
First aid training in Krugersdorp
Krugersdorp is at the far end of the West Rand from our Centurion venue, so training at your own premises saves your team the trip. Chamdor, Factoria and the mining suppliers around the town are working sites where the risks can be higher than in an office, and First Aid Level 2 may suit them better than Level 1 if your risk assessment says so. Onsite training carries travel by distance, shown on your quote before you book. Your team stays on your premises, and competent delegates leave with their certificates signed. Request a quote with your Krugersdorp address.
First aid training in Randburg
Randburg sits between the West Rand and Johannesburg’s northern suburbs: offices, retailers and schools around Ferndale, and light industry in Strijdom Park. For most offices here, First Aid Level 1 is the right course, and one person can do it at a public class while a bigger team trains at your premises. A seat at our Centurion venue is R1,050 per person, the final amount. Onsite, small groups pay one flat rate, and larger groups pay from R730 per person for groups of 20 or more, excl. VAT, plus travel.
What It Costs by Team Size
- One or two people: a seat in the First Aid Level 1 public class at our Centurion venue is R1,050 per person, the final amount. Onsite, small groups pay one flat rate.
- A team of 4 to 9: R950 per person onsite, excl. VAT.
- A team of 20 or more: R730 per person onsite, excl. VAT.
- 30 or more: ask us, bigger discounts apply.
Every tier, the small-group flat rates and the travel amounts are in the prices section below. Travel is R550 flat up to 100 km round trip, then R5.50 per km, excl. VAT, and your quote shows it for your address. First Aid Level 2 runs onsite only, from R1,490 per person for groups of 20 or more (R1,980 for 4 to 9); First Aid Level 3 is from R2,485 onsite for groups of 20 or more (R3,280 for 4 to 9), or R3,280 in the Centurion public class over two weekends. Onsite prices exclude VAT.
What Your Team Practises
- Adult, child and infant CPR manikins, and AED trainers (automated external defibrillators)
- A choking vest, to practise the choking method
- A box of different bandages, and splints
- A burn shield, opened so you see what it looks like
The day ends with a practical assessment and a short theory assessment. Once the assessor and facilitator are happy, they sign the certificates onsite, so competent delegates leave with theirs (we need each ID copy before the training).
