Onsite, same course price
DDi trains fire teams onsite at their workplace in the Vaal: Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark, Meyerton and Sasolburg. Basic Fire Fighting is a 4-hour, OHS Act compliant course in which everyone discharges a real extinguisher. We come to you at the same course price as anywhere else: R790 per person for groups of 5 to 9, less for bigger groups, excl. VAT, with travel charged by distance.

We have no venue in the Vaal; the training extinguishers come with us to your premises. Request a quote with your address, how many people need training and a preferred date.
Fees and Travel
- Groups of 5 to 9: R790 per person, excl. VAT.
- Groups of 20 or more: R605 per person, excl. VAT.
- Fewer than 5 people: a flat rate for the group.
- Travel: R550 flat up to 100 km round trip, then R5.50 per km, excl. VAT.
These are DDi’s 2026 course prices, the same in every area. For one or two people, there is the public class at our Centurion venue, 99 Hornbill Avenue, Rooihuiskraal: R890 per person, the final amount, from 8:30am to 1pm, booked on the public class bookings page.
How the Training Runs
The day starts with the attendance registers and enrolment forms, then theory on the classes of fire, which extinguisher for which fire, and the PASS method (pull, aim, squeeze, sweep). Everyone discharges a real extinguisher; we don’t light open fires. The team then inspects CO2 and dry chemical powder extinguishers, some faulty on purpose, and finishes with a practical and a short theory assessment. Certificates are signed onsite for every delegate found competent, when we have their ID copy before the day.
The course is OHS Act compliant training, in line with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993) and the General Safety Regulations, regulation 13J (fire precautions and means of egress, 2025). DDi recommends 3 trained fire fighters for every 50 staff.
