How it works

  1. Pick the course and enter the date on your certificate.
  2. Check the renewal date. First aid renews after 3 years. For other courses, choose how often your company refreshes the training.
  3. Get your reminders by email before the date, with a link to book your refresher as a public class or onsite at your workplace.

Reminders cover First Aid Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3, Basic Fire Fighting, Evacuation Warden, SHE Rep Training, HIRA Training, Incident Investigation, Hazardous Chemical Substances, OHS Act Training, Legal Liability Training, Supervisor Training (16.2) and Health & Safety for Managers.

How long is a first aid certificate valid?

Three years. DDi's First Aid Level 1, 2 and 3 courses are accredited by the Department of Employment and Labour and aligned to the QCTO curriculum, and the certificate is valid for 3 years. We remind you before the 3 years are up.

How often must Fire Fighting, SHE Rep or other OHS training be refreshed?

The OHS Act sets no fixed renewal date for these courses. Your company decides, usually in its health and safety file or SHE policy, based on the hazards and risks at your workplace. We suggest yearly; high-risk sites often refresh every 6 months and low-risk sites every 2 years. Choose your company's interval, or enter your own date.

When will the reminder emails come?

90, 30 and 7 days before your renewal date. For a cycle shorter than a year, such as every 6 months, we send them 30 and 7 days before. Each email has a link to book your refresher.

Can I set up reminders for my team?

Yes. Choose My company's team and add your company name and how many people need the course. Set up one reminder per course and training date; after you sign up you can add another certificate straight away.

Do I have to have trained with DDi?

No. Anyone can sign up, wherever they did the training. If you trained with DDi, we keep your training record and can remind you from it too.

How do I stop the reminders?

Every email has an unsubscribe link that works with one click. You can also ask us to stop them by phone or through the contact form.
